Last week there was a lot of news about a hacker group called ‘OurMine’ who hacked the social media accounts of Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerburg and WikiLeaks. I would like to note that these people are very inexperienced and do not really know how to hack and are wrongly called 'Elite Hackers’. This group is (probably) a group of teenagers who use sites such as LeakedSource and Have I been pwned? to find leaked passwords and use them to get access to the hacked social media accounts. I would advise to use two-factor authentication and sign up for Have I been pwned? which notifies you if one of your passwords have been leaked. If OurMine listens to Wikileaks which the article below suggests then it might be more serious but now it doesn’t impact anything.
